Giant Alocasia Planter- Boogeyman Glaze

$375.00
Sold Out

Wheel thrown 8” diameter planter with attached saucer. The giant Alocasia leaf was inspired by my big ol Alocasia Regal Shield plant’s biggest leaf. I carved and sculpted the leaf once it was attached to the pot, and dried this planter slowly for over a month. The planter base is is left unglazed, and the leaf was first painted with an indigo pigment to accentuate the veining, before glazing with the bright green Boogeyman glaze. Has two drainage holes.

I had planned to make molds from leaves from each of my houseplants before I moved, but only got around to this one. A little piece of my plant collection can live on in this functional sculpture.

8” diameter (planter) x 12” high (leaf)
