6" Scalloped Gatsby Planter and Saucer - Pre-order (20% donated to hurricane relief)
The Gatsby is an airy 6” planter inspired by the Art Deco style of the roaring 20s. I loved the novel “The Great Gatsby” when I was in high school, so when several people suggested the name, I knew it was a perfect fit for this pot.
Please note, this is a pre-order and will ship in 4-6 weeks.
The planter is slipcast, using a mold made from one of my handthrown pots. I then measure the design in thirds, before carving the lines and poking the holes to create a symmetrical pattern. The Saucer is thrown on the wheel, and both pieces are glazed in a color of your choosing!
Dimensions: Approximately 6” diameter by 5.5” high
Use the dropdown menu to choose your glaze. Note, some images are of the flat top pots, and are just here to demonstrate glaze options.
This planter is great for air plants like orchids, or for any plant that thrives in a chunky well aerated soil. You can plant directly in the pot, or nestle a nursery pot inside, making it a versatile planter for just about any plant.
